Limestone A common sedimentary rock consisting most of calcium carbonate may at times, be a bit delicate. Nevertheless, it has numerous possibilities for baths, floors and wall-cladding. Because of its unusual fossil composites, Limestone gives us an interesting perspective of the past.		Onyx A transparent milky quartz with distinctive microscopic crystals that create parallel bands of different colors with a unique translucent quality. Loved by visionaries that use it in illuminated applications.
Soapstone A soft metamorphic rock composed most of the mineral talc (a fine-grained white, greenish or gray mineral having a soft soapy feel). It is the most dense stone we carry and known throughout the industry for its extreme durability and non-porous content. Mineral Oil can be applied to help in the natural darkening process.		Travertine A light-colored porous calcite deposited from solution in ground or surface waters and forming, among other deposits, stalactites and stalagmites. A member of the Limestone family with similar performance and known for its muted polish and fill.
Slate A fine-grained metamorphic rock that splits into thin, smooth-surfaced layers. Its definitive characteristic is its slatey cleavage which enables the material to be split into parallel wafer-like sheets which respond wonderfully to extreme atmospheric conditions. A favorite as a fireplace surround, pool cladding or bathroom shower floor.
